Weekend Web 9

Ayten Gasson lingerie

http://www.aytengasson.com - This vintage-style lace lingerie is so beautiful. The lace used is sourced from Nottingham from the lace makers to Diana, Princess of Wales. Their autumn range is on sale atm for a really reasonable price.
http://www.missmoss.co.za/2011/06/10/modcloth-miss-moss/ - This post really inspired me, it takes classical paintings and creates outfits inspired by them. You can see more on the Modcloth blog here.
http://www.francescawaddell.com - beautiful and creative fashion illustrations, as featured in Stylist magazine.
http://www.guiltfreefashion.co.uk - I love this site! It features DIY fashion which is easy and cheap to do which everyone can enjoy.
http://www.lavishalice.com - I spotted this cute new brand over at Lara's blog and I wanted to feature them in this post because their shoes in particular are so cute.

Hope you enjoy the links! This weekend we've been spending a lot of time in IKEA and visiting our parents to get furniture for our new place! I will be sure to post 'before' and 'after pictures when we've decorated. :)

Weekend Web 4

http://pennychic.com - A US blog that only features clothes from Wal-mart. I'm so tempted to start one for Primark in the UK. Most of my clothes are from there anyway, it wouldn't be hard!
https://www.betafashion.com - Beta is an online fashion project which runs competitions to find the best designers, and takes those prints and turns them into clothes. If I were a designer, illustrator or print designer I would love my designs to win a beta competition, it would be a great way to get your designs out there.
http://www.modcloth.com/the-written-wardrobe - A writing project that I stumbled across by accident. Got a fashion related short story or poem? Submit it to modcloth and you could be featured.
http://wikifashion.com - It is what it sounds like, its the online contributions-based encyclopedia for all things fashion related.
katrinbragad.blogspot.com- Katrin is a young fashion photographer. Her photography is very colourful and the models are so strong, with a great sense of power!

Isn't the UK weather fab! I can't get over it. Let's hope it lasts. :) I can't decide whether summer makes us fat. On the one hand, we've got the possibility of bike rides, tennis, swimming and long walks, but the flip side of that is ice creams, eating out and barbecues! Either way I think I'll enjoy both sides of summer.
What are your favourite things to do in summer?

Dress me up

A round up of some of my favourite dresses in the spring collections at the moment. If you haven't heard of Modcloth, it's one of my favourite vintage stores. I've never bought anything from there though as the items are pricey, especially shipped overseas. But I adore from afar, and enjoy The Delightful Dozen styling up their pieces. I am actually dying over those beautiful blue shoes!

Ok, I cheated a bit with New Look, there is a playsuit here, but one of the reasons I love dresses is the same reason I love playsuits: they're so comfy and easy to wear!

I love the shoes with socks in the last post! I know some people aren't keen on shoes-with-socks (it can all get a little mens-socks-with-sandals-type) but styled like this they have a childlike, fun, innocent feel. :D
Do you think you'll be in a dress this spring/summer, or a playsuit?
